Hydrylane  "Hype or Results"

Hyaluronic Acid with Oligopeptids

Slogans like "Better than Botox" and "Wrinkle-Erasing Results" are product claims
finding their way into our mailboxes and E-Mail browsers on a frequent basis.

Who does one believe?

According to the producers of Botox, nothing compares to their product.

And they are right!

As one of the most powerful poisons available to consumers today-- Botox has no equals.

Botulinum toxin is a protein made of two polypeptides. The toxin's light chain is a protease that blocks
acetycholine (containing vesicles) from fusing with the terminal membrane of the motor neuron..
By effectively blocking signals from the brain the injection results in flaccid muscle paralysis, eventually leading to atrophy

On the other hand there are other firms, laying claim to the non-Botox successes of their products.

We advise that buyer's beware as such claims are truly the stuff of which dreams and nightmares are made.

Lately, the skin care industry has been digging up old dinosaurs like Hyaluronic Acid
(an 80s vintage formula) as a Botox alternative.

Fifteen years ago, A Natural Difference™ made news by combining Shark Cartilage Gel
with Hyaluronic Acid for more Hydration. Today we are again making headlines by again
improving that formulation with a 20% Hyaluronic Acid and Oligopeptides to create
Hydrylane--true non-evasive, all-natural alternative to Botox.
A Natural Difference™ has a proven track record for non-invasive, natural-only approach to removing wrinkles.

Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally in the dermis. Its water absorption abilities allow
the epidermis to achieve greater suppleness, proper plasticity, and turgor.
When applied on the skin, it forms a viscoelastic film in a manner similar to the way
it holds water in the intercellular matrix of the dermal connective tissues.
This new technology and exceptional natural skin-like ingredient retains over 1000 times
its weight in water and plumps the skin naturally to give the skin a dewy, youthful look.

Marine Oligopeptides are obtained from a natural source, and provide the skin
the amino acid it needs to make its own collagen and help the skin train moisture.
The amino acids are linked in chains of 2 to 30. The shortest chains will serve as
signals and as substrates for the skin to renew the proteic sides of its structure (collagen, elastin, etc.)
and they carry copper and other microelements. The longer chain will stay on the surface of the skin,
making a protective microfilm and retaining moisture. Amino acids are the sub-units that make up a protein.
Although there are many amino acids, only 20 of them with L-Chirality are common in proteins.
Amino acids can join each other in a peptide band. A protein can be made up of just one
or several polypeptides. In the cosmetic industry we use many different proteins,
like collagen and elastin  and proteins with enzymatic activity, like papain and super oxide dismutase.
