Cherry Berry Enzyme Peel
Cherries—most of us love to eat them, they are rich in potent antioxidants called flavonoids that have various therapeutic effects on the body and the skin. The flavonoids found in cherries act as antioxidants in the skin, scavenging and destroying altered oxygen compounds called free radicals. The darker the cherry, the richer it is in antioxidants. Flavonoids also
strengthen collagen by inhibiting cross linking of the fibers in the connective tissue.
Cherry Berry Enzyme Peel comes in two accelerated strengths—10% and 20%. The higher the percentage the lower its pH balance, the shorter the time required for the peel. The actives we use; the fruit enzymes, natural salicylic and lactic acids are powerful and engineered for optimim results. All professionals are reminded to act responsibly when administering any of our peels. Stronger is not always better. Know your client’s skin type, skin toleration and when in doubt, use the lower percentage first.
Active Ingredients:
- Cherry Puree is packed full of nutrients containing Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and iron.
- Sweet Cherry Seed Oil contains significant amounts of oleic and linoleic acid which is essential to balance the skin’s natural oils.
- Red Wine Extract contains polyphenols, antioxidants that are 100 times stronger than those found in Vitamin E.
- Raspberry Fruit & Extract contains caffeic acid which is antibacterial, anti-comedogenic, anti-septic, anti-inflammatory and carries antioxidant properties.
- Bromelain (pH adjusted) exfoliates and promotes healing.
- L-lactic Acid – encourages protein softening and cell-turnover, anti-microbial, evens out discoloration, gently clarifying.
- L-tartaric Acid – alpha-hydroxy acid used to strengthen stratum corneum desquamation and quickly improves skin appearance.
